Popular social media micro-blogging site Twitter has suddenly seen a picture of a brown dog instead of a blue bird logo, which has started sparking fresh controversy. Instead of Twitter's familiar blue bird, the dog logo is more like the dog of the Shibayun nation of Japan, cryptocurrency firm Dogecoin's logo. The Shibayun breed of dog is often seen in memes on social media. Although this logo was not introduced on April Fool's Day, many Twitter users believe that this change is an April Fool's prank by Elon Musk. However, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has not said anything about this.
On March 28, Twitter users suddenly noticed that their account's homepage and loading screen were showing a picture of a Shibayun chicken instead of Twitter's blue bird logo.
A lot of criticism started among Twitter users about this sudden logo change. At the same time, Elon Musk tweeted to fuel the debate further. He posted a photo on Twitter of a policeman checking the Twitter credentials of a dog sitting in the driver's seat of a car. But the police cannot recognize it because of the blue picture on the identity card.
And when the dog was asked about this, he replied that it was his previous picture. It has yet to be officially known why Elon Musk changed the Twitter logo. It was supposed to be a joke and nothing more.
